The basics
What is EZaccessMD?
EZaccessMD provides telehealth consultations with licensed physicians, paired with in-home diagnostics: a medical technician travels to the patient's home for in-person tests when a phone call isn't enough. We are NOT health insurance; we provide easy and convenient access to quality healthcare.
How is EZaccessMD different from traditional telemedicine?
Traditional telemedicine is phone-only or video-only; it can't run a strep test, take an X-Ray, or do an EKG. EZaccessMD starts with telehealth and escalates to in-home diagnostics when a phone call isn't enough. That's why our utilization rate is 75% vs. the industry average of 10 to 15%. See the full comparison →
Is EZaccessMD health insurance?
No. EZaccessMD is NOT health insurance. We provide easy and convenient ACCESS to quality healthcare. EZaccessMD is a supplemental benefit that works alongside your existing health plan.
Do I need health insurance to use EZaccessMD?
No. All you need is your name, date of birth, and current employer. If you do have insurance, any prescriptions, testing, or referrals to outside providers are covered the way they normally would be.
Getting care
How does it work?
Members call our 24/7 line or use the app. A licensed physician calls back within the hour. If in-person diagnostics are needed, a medical technician is dispatched to the patient's home, typically within a few hours.
How fast will I hear back after I call?
Care coordinators answer 24/7, and we aim to respond to every request within 15 to 30 minutes. A licensed physician then calls back, typically within the hour.
Is the service available 24/7?
Yes. Telehealth consultations are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In-home diagnostic dispatch hours vary by market.
Can members use the app?
Yes. EZaccessMD has iOS and Android apps for requesting consultations, viewing visit history, and communicating with care coordinators. Members download the app themselves from the App Store or Google Play; there is no IT setup on the plan sponsor's end.
How do members get prescriptions?
Our physicians can e-prescribe medications directly to the patient's preferred local pharmacy during or after the consultation.
Can I send photos of an injury or rash?
Yes. For a visible injury or rash, you can send photos so the physician can assess it. When more is needed, a medical technician can be dispatched to your home for in-home diagnostics.
Can I use EZaccessMD for a second opinion?
Yes. Call with any medical question or concern, and our physicians will use their expertise and available resources to give you the best guidance, at no cost.
Can I talk to a specialist?
If our physicians determine you need a specialist, they will refer you to one. They may also consult a specialist about your condition so they can serve you better.
In-home diagnostics
What can an in-home visit test for?
Depending on the market, services include point-of-care diagnostics (strep, UTI, flu and COVID rapid tests), imaging (X-Rays, ultrasounds), cardiac tests (EKGs, echocardiograms), and labs. Diagnostic services vary by location.
Are in-home diagnostic visits free?
Yes. When a physician decides in-person diagnostics are needed, they order an in-home diagnostic visit at no cost to the member, and follow up shortly after it is complete. Like the rest of the benefit, there is no copay.
What can the in-home team do during a visit?
The mobile team performs testing, imaging, and basic measurements such as vitals, and may use a stethoscope to listen to heart and lung sounds. They do not give injections or medications; our physicians order prescriptions separately as needed.
If the doctor orders an X-Ray, how soon does the mobile team arrive?
Usually the same day. The team calls ahead to give you a more specific time window.
Coverage, cost & eligibility
How much does it cost members?
EZaccessMD is a FREE benefit for members and their immediate family. The member subscription covers the member, their spouse or legal partner, and dependents ages 2 through 26: no copay, no coinsurance, no deductible, no credit card. The plan sponsor pays a per-employee-per-month (PEPM) rate; members pay nothing.
Where is EZaccessMD available?
Telehealth consultations are available in all 50 states. In-home diagnostics are currently available in 22 states and growing. See coverage by state →
How do members enroll?
Automatically. Enrollment happens via a census feed from the plan sponsor. Members do not create accounts, set passwords, or enter credit card information. They just call the doctor line when they need care. Most other telemedicine services require self-registration and often ask for payment details; EZaccessMD does not.
Can I sign up as an individual?
No. EZaccessMD is offered through plan sponsors, not sold as an individual plan. If you would like EZaccessMD at your workplace, call 855-313-8145 and refer us to your HR team. If you change jobs, your new employer would need to offer the benefit.
Are prescription medications covered?
EZaccessMD physicians can e-prescribe to your preferred pharmacy, but the medications themselves are not covered by the benefit. Every member receives a prescription discount card; use that card or your insurance to get the best price on your medications.
Can I be excluded for a pre-existing condition?
No. We do not exclude anyone for pre-existing conditions. Some conditions carry higher risk and are better managed by a primary care doctor or specialist, and our physicians will direct you to the right level of care.
Safety & limits
What happens in an emergency?
EZaccessMD board-certified physicians triage every call and direct members to the appropriate level of care. When a situation falls outside EZaccessMD's capabilities, our physicians direct the member to the right setting. If you or a family member is having a life-threatening emergency right now (chest pain, trouble breathing, severe bleeding, stroke symptoms, loss of consciousness), call 911 immediately. Do not wait for a callback.
Are there limits on what physicians will prescribe?
Yes. EZaccessMD does not prescribe DEA-controlled substances, non-therapeutic drugs, or other medications with a high potential for abuse, and a prescription is never guaranteed. EZaccessMD does not replace your primary care doctor, insurance, or pharmacy.
How do I verify a provider's license or contact the medical board?
Email us any time at info@ezaccessmd.com. In New York, you can also verify a provider or raise a concern with the State Department of Health at health.ny.gov/professionals/doctors/conduct.

Most implementations take about 30 days from signed agreement to member access. Our team handles onboarding and member communications. Members download the app directly, so there is no IT setup on your side and no long benefits-administration stand-up.
Do we have to wait for our health plan renewal to start?
No. EZaccessMD can be implemented any month of the year. It is a standalone benefit that does not have to line up with your health plan's renewal cycle, so you do not lose a year waiting for the next open enrollment.
Who does EZaccessMD serve?
